You may know that “Lizzie Borden took an axe and gave her mother 40 wacks…” but she was acquitted of the murders of her father and stepmother. The play dramatized a situation where Lizzie invites a group of actors to re-enact the circumstances of the crime and trial in the parlor of her sister’s house.
Will their interpretation lead the audience to some new conclusions about what happened that fateful day?
