The Four Tops, graces the stage for Rock n Roll House Party 19 with their hits, "Baby I Need Your Loving," “I Can’t Help Myself (Sugar Pie, Honey Bunch),” “It’s The Same Old Song,” “Reach Out I’ll Be There,” “Standing In The Shadows Of Love,” “Bernadette,” "Ain't No Woman Like The One I Got," and so many more.
That is a V for Victory as well as the Roman numeral for five thanks to both the support of the talented artists who have displayed their work and to the crowds of people who have come to the After Dark events. You may know that "Lizzie Borden took an axe and gave her mother 40 wacks..." but she was acquitted of the murders of her father and stepmother. The play dramatized a situation where Lizzie invites a group of actors to re-enact the circumstances of the crime and trial in the parlor of her sister's house.
Billed as "A Musical With A Comedy," the show opens with agoraphobic musical theatre fan "Man in Chair" listening to the record of a performance he has never seen. The show comes to life in his living room, hilariously influenced by his imagination, side commentary, skipping record and power outages.
